Victoria Digiorgio is a American lady who got into the limelight through her marriage to one of the most notorious crime lords known as John Gotti. He was the boss of the Gambino crime family in New York City and had risen to become one of the crime family’s biggest earners thus creating one of the most successful crime families. He died in September 2002 due to throat cancer while serving his lifetime prison sentence.
John Gotti and Victoria first met at a New York City bar back in 1958 and ended up dating for four years soon after. They ended up getting married on 6th March 1962. Victoria knew about her husband’s dealings but didn’t make them public even though she disapproved of them. The couple was blessed with five children but only four are still living. They are Angel (1961), Victoria (1962), John Jr (1964) and Peter Jr. John Gotti Jr took after his father and secretly went ahead to become the boss of the Gambino crime family ever since his father was jailed. He was later arrested for gambling and extortion in 1998. After taking a plea, he remained in jail till December 2009 when 12 jurors assigned to his case admitted they could not reach a common verdict hence a mistrial. It is reported that his mom played a big role to get him out.
Victoria has since decided to live a discrete lifestyle where she is hardly spotted in public. Her daughter meanwhile has still been in the limelight through media appearances, co-writing documentary and movie scripts.
It is reported that Victoria is running a number of businesses and has also published a book by the name The Family Of Mine: What It Was Like Growing Up Gotti.
